Here's what I found:
A new hanging lantern for our front porch $12.01 (chain, cable, light bulb and of course vintage dust, were included in the price). I wish I knew what kind of glass it's made of. I love the colour and how it works with the door. The bottom part of the fixture is in the shape of a pineapple. No better place than the entrance of a home to display a pineapple (meaning = 'welcome'). I'll post a picture when it's up!
Can you see how the Gods of thrifting will have tremendously improved the front of our home?
A beautiful handbag, 100% Italian leather, with beautiful hardware, perfect dividers in the inside and a much needed zipped pocket. It's a gorgeous burgundy brown $5.99
Another handbag, navy blue, in vinyl, with gorgeous silver hardware annnnd adjustable strap also $5.99
And as if all this wasn't enough.... I also scored two window panels for my son's bedroom in a beautiful denim colour. They work perfectly with his new duvet cover $3.99/each
There you have it. Gotta love a good day at the thrift shops. Now.... Did I leave the house on my weekly thrifting expedition with a clear idea of what I was looking for? Of course not! Low expectations equal big thrill! What do you think? What trésors have you found recently?
